Skin Peels are experiencing a major growth in popularity with people looking for a deep intensive skin rejuvenation treatment. The Peels target dull and uneven skin tone, acne, fine lines and wrinkles, sun-damage and hyper pigmented skin. Skin Peels fill a gap between a cosmetic facial scrub and an invasive surgical facelift. Facial Peels are increasingly becoming the non-surgical alternative to facelift and are ideal to use supplementary to Microdermabrasion.
Healthy skin is determined by how you care for your skin. Your body has changing needs as it ages, and so does your skin. Regular treatments are great for continuing skin health in addition to being a luxurious experience.
As with all peeling agents, patients preparing to undergo a glycolic/lactic acid peel should have their skin primed for at least 2 weeks before the peel. Your choice of products include L-ascorbic acid serums or AHA products. We also recommend using these products in between light chemical peels.
Number of peels required
Light chemical peels have the benefit of not causing the patient any down time or irritation. They can achieve the same results as a stronger peel, but to do so will have to be applied in a series. Depending on the condition to be treated and skin type, weekly applications are recommended. A series of six peels will achieve significant skin improvement.
The following Skin Peels are available:
30% and 50% Lactic Acid Peel
This high-powered treatment offers fast results for dry, sun damaged or pigmented skin. Lactic Acid is the gentle hydrating AHA alternative. Available in 30% and 50% strengths.
Mandelic Acid Peel
A gentle AHA peel that is ideal for clients new to facial peeling. Mandolin Acid improves acne prone and congested skin and evens pigmentation. It’s suitable for those who are sensitive or have rosacea and is safe to use on dark skin.
Vitapeel (Jessners & AHA)
Perfect for ageing or sun damaged skin, this potent peel features high-strength AHA’s and BHA’s that vigorously exfoliate dead skin cells that cling to the skin, making it look dull. Vita peeling creates brighter skin, with reduced pigmentations and sunspots. Pre-peel skin preparation required.
A Zyme Peel
Combines fast acting, potent ingredients retinol (vitamin A) and enzymes to plump, firm, retexture and super hydrate the skin. Evens pigmentation and helps prolong the life of your dermal fillers.
