Medical Skin Peels

Skin Peels

Skin Peels have a growing popularity with people looking for a deep intensive skin rejuvenation treatment to target dull and uneven skin tone, acne, fine lines and wrinkles, sun-damage and hyper pigmented skin. Peels fill a gap between a cosmetic facial scrub and an invasive surgical facelift. Facial Peels are increasing in popularity as the non-surgical alternative to facelift and ideal to use supplementary to Microdermabrasion.

Skin Health

Healthy skin is determined by how you care for your skin as you age. Your body has changing needs as it grows, our skin also needs to develop and maintain healthy structure. Regular treatments are great for continuing skin health as well as a luxurious, pampering experience.

Pigmentation Skin Workout

Pigmented areas of the skin caused by hormones, stress, sun exposure, ageing, sensitivity and trauma. These areas become darker and often unsightly. Pigmentation Skin Workout uses active ingredients to lighten the pigmented areas and inhibit reproduction of pigmentation causing enzymes.

Lactic Peel

Combined, Glycolic and Lactic Acid works synergistically to exfoliate the skin while reducing irritation and dryness because of Glycolic Acids molecular structure. It penetrates quicker and deeper than other AHA's to perform at all levels of the skin. Lactic Acid is an effective yet gentle AHA that increases moisture levels by stimulating the production Glycosaminoglycans. By accelerating the cell renewal process, stimulating collagen synthesis, and improving elastin fibers in the Dermis, this chemical peel revitalizes photo damaged skin and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

EFFECTIVELY TREATS:

  • Fine Lines / Wrinkles
  • Aging / Dry Skin
  • Photo Damage
  • Dehydrated Skin
  • Rough / Uneven texture

A patient is not a candidate for chemical peels if one or more of the following applies:

  • Use of Accutane or retinoic acid products within the last 3 months
  • Open wounds, cuts, abrasions
  • Acne or herpes outbreak
  • Plastic surgery procedure within the last 3-6 months
  • Pregnancy

Skin Preparation:

As with all peeling agents, patients preparing to undergo a glycolic/lactic acid peel should have their skin primed for at least 2 weeks before the peel. Your choice of products includes L-ascorbic acid serums or AHA products. We also recommend using these products in between light chemical peels.

Number of peels required:

Light chemical peels have the benefit of not causing the patient any down time and irritation. They can achieve the same results as a stronger peel, but will have to be applied in a series. Depending on the condition to be treated and skin type, weekly applications are recommended. A series of six peels will achieve significant skin improvement.

Salicylic Acid is a lipid soluble BHA that penetrates pores to dissolve Sebum and Cellular debris.
