Laser 360 Skin Resurfacing
Laser360 is a simple yet powerful formula. You start off with three of the latest technologies, you add a time frame of sixty days and what do you get? Well, nothing short of complete skin rejuvenation.
3 technologies + 60 days = Complete Skin Rejuvenation
Let’s go into more detail. Laser 360 will address the following areas:
Complete Skin Rejuvenation
If you’re not ready for a full facelift, but your no longer satisfied with the results of topical creams and lotions, Laser360 is for you.
Laser 360 treatments will improve your skin’s colour, texture and tone, revealing brighter, younger and healthier looking skin. It treats fine lines and discolourations from deep in the skin to give you a lasting new, revitalised look.
If you’re thinking of additional treatments for surgical scars, acne pitting or sun damage on your chest or hands, then we advise that you consult your doctor. Your doctor will combine the three different technologies into a treatment plan that is customised exclusively for you.
Skin Resurfacing
Laser360 stimulates new collagen to grow, which improves your skin’s texture and tone to fight fine lines and wrinkles. It works by creating thousands of microscopic perforations, but the skin around each of these perforations remains intact. This allows the skin’s top layer to heal from the edge of these tiny holes very rapidly.
Skin Tightening
Laser360 also firms up any loose skin around your eyes, nose and jaw so you regain a more youthful, contoured appearance. The treatment uses near-infrared light to create deep heating in your body, which facilitates the skin’s remodelling.
Skin Colour
And finally, Laser360 eliminates superficial pigmented and vascular marks, evens out your skin colour and reduces tiny broken blood vessels. The combination of the three technologies will leave you with fresher, smoother, younger looking skin.
Safe and Comfortable
Laser360 treatments are safe, comfortable and effective. They require no injections, surgery or downtime. You can expect your skin to be somewhat flushed after the treatment – similar to mild sunburn. Any mild symptoms should subside in 48 hours.
AFT Pulsed Light
No More Unwanted Marks
Cosmetic flaws may be caused by heredity, medication, pregnancy or environmental factors. Yet most vascular and pigmented lesions are ideal candidates for non-invasive AFT pulsed treatments. The widest range of benign vascular lesions, like port wine stains, telangiectasis, hemangiomas, erythema, rosacea and poikiloderma of civette can be safely and effectively treated with AFT pulsed light. In addition, pigmented lesions like lentigo, seborrheic keratoses, cafe-au-lait, ephelides and dyschromia can also be treated.
How Does AFT Pulsed Light Work?
Simply put, AFT pulsed light energy is absorbed by the target areas without damaging healthy skin. Selectively heating and closing off blood vessels, AFT pulsed light reduces the lesions, while sparing nearby tissue from injury. With pigmented lesions the light energy heats the melanin in the lesion and causes it to fragment. The melanin fragments are then absorbed by the body and eliminated. By providing smooth, consistent light pulses, the energy delivered to the skin is gentle and effective.
Why Choose this Treatment?
Traditional treatments for removing or reducing the appearance of vascular and pigmented lesions are often long-term and uncomfortable. Frequently administered corticosteroid medications can have undesirable side effects. Cryosurgery cannot be used in many cases. Surgery and treatment with ablative lasers can be painful and may cause damage and scarring to adjacent body areas.
Also, nearly all conventional treatments require an extended healing period. In contrast, AFT treatments require no downtime and can be used to treat many types of vascular and pigmented lesions quickly and safely.
What are Benign Vascular and Pigmented Lesions?
Benign vascular lesions are an abnormal clustering of blood vessels which are red in colour. Pigmented lesions, less widespread, are clusters of melanin in the skin and are brown in colour. While some lesions may fade, others become more pronounced over time.
How to Get Started
To begin with, all patients must meet with a consultant to determine their course of treatment. The consultant will then set treatment plans according to the characteristics, such as the size and location of each patient’s lesions. Most lesions can be treated within half an hour and for best results, repeated treatments are required.
Safe, Effective and Relatively Painless Treatment
The high level of light and gentle energy parameters assure safe, effective treatment. Uniquely shaped AFT Light is pulsed precisely, heating the intended targets and causing remarkably little or no skin damage or discomfort. This optimal use of energy both increases safety and eliminates the need for cooling methods.
While discomfort varies from individual to individual, most people tolerate AFT pulsed light treatment well and describe the sensation as a rubber band snap to the skin. The majority of patients require no anaesthesia, though topical anaesthetic is an option for the more sensitive areas if you so desire.
Laser Treatment for Vascular and Pigmented Lesions
Non-surgical, quick and effective
Most of us, in fact nearly all of us, have one or more pigmented lesion. Some are caused by sun exposure, others by aging. Regardless of the cause, pigmented lesions are simply spots on the skin where there is a higher concentration of melanin. In most cases, pigmented lesions are merely a cosmetic concern, but in some cases, can be an early sign of skin cancer.
For most benign pigmented lesions that are of a cosmetic concern, there is a non-surgical option. At Lasertech we use the AFT 540 VP handpiece available on the Harmony®XL. By exposing a pigmented lesion to short pulses of visible light, the temperature in the highly concentrated melanin can be raised sharply, enough to shatter the cells containing the melanin. The body then replaces these cells with new cells generated by the surrounding untreated area.
Technology in Use
AFT is the next generation of intense pulsed light. It takes formerly unused short-wavelength light and converts it into part of the usable spectrum through a special filtering system. It increases emission and penetration, for safer and more effective treatments.
AFT also delivers Equally Distributed Fluence, which means that every pulse has uniform energy density across the entire output face. This fluence ensures repeatable results and remarkable safety. AFT yields a more efficient system for ideal clinical improvements, less discomfort and minimal skin damage.
Key Advantages
- Effective non-surgical treatment for a common cosmetic concern
- Quick 20-minute treatment time makes it easy to fit into a busy day
- Completely safe with no downtime
Skin – Photo Rejuvenation
Laser Skin Treatments for Wrinkles, Rosacea and more…
Brown spots, broken capillaries and other fallout from photoaging are easy targets for laser systems that use broadband light to repair these defects through a process called photo-rejuvenation. Additionally, facial wrinkles can now be treated non-ablatively, contributing to a more youthful appearance. Using relatively low-energy, short-pulse broadband light, imperfections such as erythema of rosacea, superficial telangiectasia, dyschromia, age spots and other discoloured signs of photoaging can be gently heated and eliminated, replaced by newer, younger looking skin.
At Lasertech we use the Harmony®XL, providing a treatment that is gentle with no downtime. In fact, laser skin treatments can now be done during your lunch hour and no one will notice any sign of treatment.

Treatment for Leg Veins
Spider and Varicose Veins
The non-invasive laser treatment of unsightly leg veins is one of the most requested yet most challenging of aesthetic procedures. Because of the various diameters, depths and pressures found with these vessels, their treatment often requires a wide range of wavelengths, pulse widths and fluences. Using a combination of therapies, such as those included on the Harmony®XL system, Lasertech’s physicians are able to treat both superficial and deep telangiectasias as well as telangiectatic matting and hemosiderin staining.
Using the principle of selective photo-thermolysis, these vessels can be selectively heated and collapsed without damaging the surrounding healthy tissue. Depending on the nature of the vessels, either the Nd:YAG or an AFT treatment head on the HarmonyXL can be used to produce the desired effect. In fact, using a combination of 1064-nm laser light in conjunction with various broadband AFT treatment parameters has, in many cases, been shown to be more effective than laser treatment alone.
Technology in Use
The Nd:YAG 1064 laser handpiece coagulates and destroys large, deep, cosmetically unacceptable blood vessels and leg veins without the use of chemicals or needles. This easy-to-use, ergonomic handpiece effectively coagulates oxygenated reddish telangiectasias, as well as deoxygenated bluish venule ectasia and reticular veins up to 4-mm diameter.
Key Advantages
- Safe and effective treatment for various diameters and depths of leg veins
- No need for injections
Laser Skin Treatments
Psoriasis, Vitiligo, Stretch Marks, Hypopigmentation
According to the National Psoriasis Foundation (http://www.psoriasis.org), psoriasis affects nearly 2% of the global population. Traditional treatments range from topical creams or to oral medications (which must be monitored for systemic side-effects) and even ultraviolet phototherapy, which is extremely time-consuming and has other associated risks. The UVB handpiece on the HarmonyXL laser system provides psoriasis sufferers an alternative treatment that includes no pharmaceuticals, reduces the number of required sessions and only takes minutes.
Vitiligo, on the other hand, is a form of leukoderma, or loss of skin pigmentation. Vitiligo affects at least 1% of the world’s population and develops as white spots in the skin that vary in size and location.
Severe trauma such as burns can also destroy pigment cells, resulting in leukoderma. Stretch marks, acne scars, post-surgical and traumatic scars can also produce a similar loss of pigment. Until recently the only treatments available included UV phototherapy and topical or injected corticosteroids. And while none of these worked very well, there were some forms of leukoderma for which there was no known method of re-pigmentation.
The UVB handpiece available on the Harmony®XL laser system has the ability to produce short pulses of 295 – 350 nm light, which has been demonstrated to successfully treat leukoderma, including vitiligo. While most UV therapies require treatments that expose both the effected and healthy skin, Alma’s UVB procedures only require treatment of affected areas, which minimizes the risk of injury to the surrounding areas and significantly reduces treatment times.
Technology in Use
The UVB handpiece uses high-power, spectral irradiance in the UVB and UVA wavebands to target and treat dermatoses such as psoriasis, leukoderma, vitiligo, stretch marks (striae distenase), atopic dermatitis (eczema), seborrheic dermatitis and hypopigmented scars.
Key Advantages
- Effective treatment for a chronic illness
- No need for topicals, creams or ointments
- Reduces the number of sessions required to see results
Pixel Perfect
Reverse the Early Signs of Ageing with Pixel Perfect
Pixel Perfect is an aesthetic laser treatment that lifts years from your face. It can help reverse the early signs of ageing and works to counteract the years of sun damage or acne scarring. Pixel Perfect provides noticeable results, often in as little as a single treatment.
Proven Effectiveness
If you have considered traditional (ablative) laser skin resurfacing, dermabrasion or deep chemical peels – but were put off by the extended recovery time required – Pixel Perfect offers a great balance. It can provide the dramatic results of these procedures, but with fewer risks. Plus, it usually reduces necessary healing time from up to thirty days to only three, making it the ideal “weekend” procedure.
Dramatically Revitalised Results
Pixel Perfect gives you results. In no time you’ll see remarkable improvements in the tone and texture of your skin. Many patients choose Pixel Perfect because it:
- Clears sun-damaged skin
- Smoothes fine lines and wrinkles
- Shrinks the appearance of pores
- Fills in acne scars
- Blends uneven pigmentation
Safe and Comfortable
Pixel Perfect treatments are safe and effective, without the need for injections or surgery. You can expect your skin to be a little flushed and red after the treatment – something similar to sunburn. Should you be a little uncomfortable after your treatment, your doctor may prescribe an over-the-counter pain medicine to ease your discomfort. These symptoms are a normal part of the healing process and should improve within approximately three days.
The Science Behind Pixel Perfect
Pixel Perfect, the aesthetic procedure performed by the Pixel laser system from Alma Lasers, stimulates new collagen growth to improve your skin’s texture and tone and fight fine lines and wrinkles. It works by creating thousands of microscopic perforations, but the skin around each of these perforations remains intact. This allows your skin’s top layer to heal from the edge of these holes very rapidly. Not only is healing time shortened considerably, but Pixel Perfect also comes with a lower risk of complications, as compared to traditional laser skin resurfacing.
Acne Treatment
Effective Alternative to Daily Pills and Creams
Acne is a common condition characterized by obstructed sebaceous glands, pimples and sometimes, deeper cysts or nodules that occur on the face, neck, chest, back, shoulders and upper arms. When severe, acne can often result in scarring. Even less severe cases can lead to scarring, if not properly treated.
Until recently, patients with persistent, moderate acne have been treated with only topical or sometimes systemic antibiotics. Recent studies have demonstrated, however, that certain discrete spectra can trigger endogenic porphyrins that naturally destroy P. acnes bacteria — and in just a fraction of the time it typically takes for antibiotics to work. Within eight brief acne laser treatments, over just four weeks, Harmony®XL’s AFT can provide significant improvement. This is three times faster than common antibiotics and topical creams(?). Patients should achieve 80% clearance and treatments for acne take only a few minutes.
Technology in Use
The HarmonyXL AFT laser handpiece gives off intense blue wavelengths in the range of 420-950 nm to target the porphyrins produced as part of the normal metabolism of P. acnes bacteria. The interaction of the intense blue light and the porphyrins creates single oxygen that rapidly destroys the bacteria without damaging the surrounding tissue.
Key Advantages
- Quicker results than pharmaceuticals
- Safe treatment with 80% acne clearance on average
- 8 easy treatments instead of daily pills or creams
Wrinkles and Acne Scars
Effective Treatment for Aesthetic Imperfections
People will spend billions of dollars each year on over-the-counter creams, lotions and rituals to treat wrinkles and marks on the face. Aging, sun exposure, heredity and lifestyle factors including nutrition, alcohol consumption and smoking all may contribute to facial wrinkling, and prior acne may have made the surface of skin uneven.
These problems can be drastically improved with the use of the 1320 Nd:YAG handpiece available on the Harmony®XL laser system. The 1320 Nd:YAG handpiece is perfect for the treatment of fine lines, wrinkles and photo-aged skin, as well as mild acne scars. At Lasertech we offer these treatments as part of our consumer-friendly Laser360 skin rejuvenation procedures.
Technology in Use
With its pre-programmed pulse width and repetition rate, the 1320 Nd:YAG handpiece is easy to use and provides excellent results. When used to treat aesthetic imperfections the 1320-nm wavelength achieves deep penetration and targets selected water-containing tissue by raising the dermal temperature.
Key Advantages
- Effective treatment for fine lines, wrinkles and photo-aged skin
- Deep penetration for effective treatment of aesthetic imperfections
Fractional CO2 Laser Skin Rejuvenation
Effects of Traditional CO2 Resurfacing with Less Downtime
The signs of an aging face include lines, wrinkles, age spots and a downward drooping of facial features. Although having surgery can help to correct the positioning of aging tissue, it cannot restore the skin’s once youthful glow. For those patients with medium to deep wrinkling who wish to avoid surgical procedures but desire a youthful, refreshed skin tone, Pixel® CO2 skin resurfacing is the ideal choice.
Technology in Use
With the Pixel CO2, laser light passes through the patented Pixel® micro optics lens array to penetrate the skin with tiny thermal channels. This creates an ablative and thermal effect in only these channels — a micro-injury — without disturbing the surrounding tissue. The tissue surrounding the micro-injury sites (about 15-20 percent of the treatment area) start the process of healing. As collagen remodels, skin tightens and scars improve. The intact, undamaged skin around the treatment site is what promotes quicker healing for a faster recovery.
Key Advantages
- Effects of traditional CO2 resurfacing with a considerable reduction in downtime
- Less invasive approach reduces the changes of complications
- Natural-looking results
